I downloaded this file: install_ActiveX.45171.exe on May 2nd, trying to watch The Boondocks season 3 episode 1. Ever since then, my laptop’s performance been really slow, and many of the google.web links i click on direct me elsewhere to random sites.
I have ran: Avast!, PrevX 3.0, Malware Bytes anti malware, and all of them have found 0 infections…. but 8 out of 10 times i use the internet (Ever since the downloading of that ActiveX.exe file), my internet slows down so much that it turns to: “Not Responding” then the blue screen of death shows up, and i have to reboot.
I also ran: McAfee and it did scan 3 infections but it didn’t go past 40% when i got the blue screen of death.
Please help me, i greatly appreciate it. thanks for your time.
