I began using the U.S.Cellular wireless modem a couple months ago. Now I keep getting kicked off the internet and Netspy.exc wants permission to download. I can’t make it stop!! Like others here, I called U.S.Cellular and they said they never heard of it. I’m stuck in a 2yr contract. anyone have a solution? I am trying to download a new virus protection, but since I keep getting kicked off the internet it isn’t helping. any suggestions?
I too have the US Cellular wireless modem, and started to see the netspy the same day I used the modem for the first time.
I have a US Cellular wireless modem UM185 as well, I got the issue with netspy.exe as well. My norton permissions box popped up asking for permission to continue. I hit cancel. I noticed netspy.dll & netspy.exe in my US Cellular Broadband connect folder in programs. Called tech support, Told its not supposed to be there. It doesn’t show up on modem but everytime I unistall & reinstall modem software, its back in the US Cellular Broadband connect folder. If anyone has had this problem & has found the solution. It would be appreciated.
I also have a US Cellular wireless modem and have noticed netspy trying to run every day. Thankfully, I have Norton, which gives me the option to cancel this action. Ug.
Be careful, I bought a US Cellular wireless modem a UM185 and it attempted to install netspy.exe on my PC.
